The large-scale visually stunning YouCity 3D city map is produced by a team of creative professionals, including 3D artists and software engineers. Building on the traditional two-dimensional map, YouCity 3D map uses actual pictures and videos as references to visualize buildings, roads, landscape, rivers, and lakes proportional to their actual sizes. YouCity 3D map seamlessly integrates the traditional 2D maps and real scenery, and provides the users with a vivid and fresh visual experience. It marks the beginning of a revolutionary era for map applications.
YouCity 3D map provides accurately geocoded, realistic representation of the targeted areas and buildings. In addition, its finest detail, realistic color, and recognizable settings satisfy the requirements of a digital map. YouCity 3D map with API enables the development of various digital map applications and makes the instrumental breakthrough of map developments and applications.
1.2. The Mapping Process
YouCity 3D map development process:
1) Define road networks and map blocks based on the GPS satellite map
2) Develop common architectural models for each type of buildings and objects based on real pictures and videos (see figure 1.1, stadium modeling process)
3) Develop the special building block models (business zones, parks, freeway bridges) based on real pictures and videos
4) Map the surroundings
5) Integrate and refine final maps
